Our Story — Paola&Dark

Paola Bailey-Gunputh creates exotic stone adornments that exude confidence, originality, beauty and are referred to as Jewels with Attitude.

The designs comprise high quality semi-precious gemstones finished with elegant silver and gold clasps.

Elements of native beading from South Africa are combined with gold centrepieces from Chile and pearl strands originating from Tahiti artfully woven with wood, crystals, feathers and other textiles to create Jewels with Attitude.

The semi-precious stone and pendant collection is soured by quality, size, type and texture from around the world. Each piece of jewellery is unique.

Paola Bailey-Gunputh customises Jewels for specific occasions or simply to fit her clients preference in terms or colour, shape, size, look and feel.

Paola can also mould clients existing favourite necklaces, bracelets, pendants, rings, earrings and brooches into fashionable designs.

In this way she combines jewels of sentimental value with a fresh look, giving them a new lease of life. Paola works with international designers who produce lines of semi-precious jewellery incorporating gold and silver exclusively for Paola&Dark.
